Happy 90th birthday, Stan Musial

Regardless of how Albert Pujols’ career ends, Stan Musial will forever be the greatest Cardinals ballplayer of all-time.

I still cherish having met Stan, and my impromptu harmonica lesson with him. And his lovely wife, who’s wheelchair I pushed at The Muny on a hot summer’s night. I was given an autographed Stan Musial 8×10 and $50 cash for “being so kind.”

Bernie Miklasz has a great column in today’s Post-Dispatch on Stan. I urge you to read it.
