After spending about 2 years trying to figure out what to do with ChateauBolen.com, we decided that a family/house blog would be in order. I threw the domain on my Hostgator account, downloaded the amazingly cool Canvas by WooThemes, and set up accounts for Rebecca and I to post about our housing adventures.

It may only amuse me, my wife and our family/friends, but we don’t care. For once, it’s nice to have a site up where I don’t have to worry about SEO or marketing.

Happy holidays, you miserable bastards! If you’ve got to put up with family for extended periods of time, you probably lean awfully hard on your old pal Booze – I know I do.

So tomorrow, when I’m gathered around family trying desperately to protect my newborn daughter from the germs of relatives, I’m turning to Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale – in my humble opinion, the king of all seasonal beers.

So raise a glass and toast sanity – and Sierra Nevada. After all, they’re doing all the hard work!
