I just installed Adobe Creative Suite (CS) 6 Design Premium on my work iMac. The Splash screens – unlike the application icons – are beautiful.

Dirty Projectors – The Gun Has No Trigger
I’m not 100% sure what rules are in play for crowning album of the year – espeically when the only thing that’s been released from said album is a single. BUT, if I may, even without hearing the other tracks on the album, just go ahead and say that it’ll be damn hard to top the July release of the Dirty Projectors’ Swing Lo Magellan.
Now, I’m basing this off of two main factors:
- First, my undying love of 2009′s Bitte Orca. I swear, if it was a cassette tape, I would have worn out two copies by now, easy.
- This track (below) ripped my face off.
With the Dirty Projectors/David Longstreth, there’s really no gray area: you either love them, or you just don’t get them. I happen to fall in the former, and can’t wait to pick up this album when it drops in the U.S. on July 10.
Devin – Masochist
Frenchkiss Records always has the best jams. I’m sure this track will be making the cut on a lot of summer playlists…
Busdriver live on KDHX
I was an instant fan of Busdriver when I heard the track Nagging Nimbus on the album Cosmic Cleavage. This was further solidified with subsequent releases from Busdriver – Temporary Forever, RoadKill Overcoat, Jhelli Beam, et cetera. It’s truly one of those things that you just have to hear to believe – amazing flow, quick verses, amazingly literate wordplay… in short, it’s just, well, fun.
So, imagine my surprise when I found out that Busdriver was leaving SoCal to tour in support of his new album, Beaus$Euros, and one of the stops was in St. Louis… but, sadly, the show fell during a period of heavy freelance work. With deadlines, I couldn’t make it out. Oh, well. Shit happens, right?
Well, ENTER KDHX. They managed to bring Busdriver in studio for a live performance and pumped the jams on KDHX.org.
Enjoy!

What an awesome video. They played this at Opening Day this year on the Jumbotron.
